For the second year in a row, expert wakeboarders will be demonstrating highflying aerial tricks at the Extreme Wakeboard Rail Jam at the 2007 Summer Houston Boat Show. The event is produced by Ridin' Rails of Lewsiville, Texas.

The Extreme Wakeboard Rail Jam will be held indoors at Reliant Center during the Show's June 20 - 24 run, and features one of the largest portable wakeboard rails in the industry. The 131-foot long demonstration unit features a small pool where the riders take off, a 35-foot rail and a large landing pool. The two pools hold a combined 50,000 gallons of water.

Show visitors can watch up-close as riders are pulled at speeds of up to 22 miles per hour by a heavy duty winch, then launch themselves on to the rail, where they slide forward, backwards and sideways before landing with a splash.

Pro wakeboarders from around the country will be on hand to demonstrate techniques and conduct "Learn to Wakeboard/Wakeskate" sessions during the demonstrations.

Saturday, June 23, the show will feature a Rail Jam Contest with pro wakeboarders competing for cash prizes.
