TRACY BYRD "LURES" FANS TO
THE 2006 HOUSTON BOAT SHOW
Country meets City as country music star and avid outdoorsman Tracy Byrd makes an exclusive appearance at the 2006 Houston International Boat, Sport & Travel Show to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Houston Boat Show.
Few country stars remain consistent hitmakers more than a decade into their careers and even fewer still find their careers strengthening, but Tracy Byrd appears to have done both. In addition, this native Texan also has a passion for outdoor sports, appearing on the covers of the nation's leading outdoor and sportsmen's magazines, as well as on televised outdoor shows including his own show, Mossy Oak's Hunting the Country. Well respected for his compassionate humanitarian efforts, Byrd started the annual Tracy Byrd Homecoming Weekend, a combination fishing tournament, concert and golf tournament to raise money for local charities, most notably the Children's Miracle Network.
Byrd, who currently resides in Beaumont, has produced 9 albums and is best known for his song "The Keeper of the Stars." According to Tracy, "We live a very normal life. It's one of the reasons we still live here in Texas. I'm a Club Scout den leader, and I have to work on my den meetings twice a month. I'm just a normal dad who has to go out on the road and sing on weekends."
Tracy Byrd will be at the Reliant Center January 8th from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. He will share his knowledge of hunting and fishing in a 45-minute seminar starting at 4:30 p.m. followed by an autograph signing session for the general public.
